Does this shape appear in other series?   Yes, although not exactly the same  - in Later Series 55 and 'A' Series / Kerryl A7 the ashtray rim is solid instead of hollowed underneath as here. The shape book entry for Later Series 55 mentions a "Holder" as here, but for 'A' Series / Kerryl A7 no mention is made of a holder.

There is another shape-book reference to an ashtray and holder, perhaps similar to these, at Early Series 187 but no example is recorded.
